Ishigaki ware is handmade pottery. Please be sure to understand the following before purchasing.

To customers who are considering purchasing Ishigaki-yaki.

Thank you for taking the time to view our products.

If you are purchasing Ishigaki-yaki, please be sure to read the following information.

We will only sell products to customers who purchase from this site if they agree to the following information.
Thank you for your understanding.

All Ishigaki-yaki is handmade.
Similar products all have different firing conditions.
The part called Ishigaki Blue, which is reminiscent of the sea of Okinawa, is fired with a fusion of ceramic and glass, and the silver droplet pattern shines on the jet black Tenmoku. By firing transparent glass and ingredients from natural minerals together, the colour develops naturally in the kiln.
Therefore, even we, the creators, do not know how well the product will be fired until we open the kiln. Please understand that each item is different in colour and texture.
This is a product that is very difficult to photograph. The images you see cannot convey how it felt when you held it in your hands.
I understand that the information may differ depending on the device and browser you are viewing.
In addition, after purchasing the product, excluding any damage during shipping, etc. due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges due to colour or fired condition.
If you have any concerns, please refrain from purchasing.
Or please consult us before purchasing.

This is a long explanation, but I put a lot of thought into my work, so please bear with me. Regarding products, we provide information on the size, etc., but please use this as a guide only. There may be slight differences.

In addition, I would like to explain below the concerns that our customers have regarding our products.

★You can see a crack-like pattern on the stone wall blue (the part that is the colour of the blue sea) . →This is something called "penetration" that appears due to the difference in shrinkage rates between ceramics and glass during firing, and is completely different from a crack, which is a defect.
You may also see some small bubbles remaining.

★Removed portion of glaze
In the tenmoku part of the silver droplet pattern on a black background, the oil droplet is the size of the tip of a needle or toothpick, or it is small and not black, but the base of the pottery is visible, or there is a dent in the black part. There are times when this happens.
This has various causes, sizes, and manifestations.
We make every effort to make sure that you can see images of items that have large areas of wear or many dents.
We may not notify you in advance of items that are too small or almost invisible. There is no problem in using it.
This can also be seen in the National Treasure Yuteki Tenmoku Matcha Tea Bowl.

★Colour of glaze and glass fused part
It will vary considerably depending on how it is baked at that time, but there is no problem in using it. Isn't it sometimes bad for you? Of course, we do not use any substances that are harmful to the body. It may also have a fantastic colour.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this long information.
